Aniva
Hi everybody!
I saw the name Aniva suggested on another naming website. Apparently it is the name of a bay in Russia as well as a nearby city, and is also a female name in Samoa. It could also be considered a form of a smoosh between Ann and Eva: Ann-Eva = Aniva when spelled phonetically. I think it is really beautiful and could easily be shortened to Anni (I am a big fan of cute nicknames). Anyway, what do you guys think of this name? Thoughts, associations, concerns?

I saw that other thread too. Wow... that site is no joke.
I'm not crazy about Aniva, but I can see the appeal. It has a pretty sound, but it does also border on sounding a little pharmaceutical.

Hmm, I don't think this is a Russian name, but it is beautiful.
