    Chelsea- Due for a comeback?

Chelsea was big in the early 80's, and I haven't met any under about 18 years old. It seems feminine to me but not frilly. Impressions of this name?

This is probably wishful thinking, but if it did come back I'd like to see it as a more popular unisex name along the lines of Jordan or Taylor.

Interesting take. You know, I've known boys with the names Ashley, Jordan, Kelly and London (from your list), but never a Chelsea. Now I have to look at it from a new angle!

    I think it's a good contender for a comeback.

LOL! I am sure most people would agree with you because that was what made it so popular for girls. I don't get offended by that. I know I am not unique in being the only guy named Chelsea and so I would just love to see it break out a bit more for boys - but honestly I doubt it - especially with the demographic. There is a slew of mom's now named Chelsea and most family's will not name their son after their mom or aunt, etc so I think it would need another 20-40 years of not being used much before it could be adopted by the boys again.

Chelsea has actually remained in the Top 100 in Australia over the last 15 years.
So it hasn't lost it's popularity here.

I know of a beautiful pair of sisters born in the 1990's named Chelsea [and] Whitney -- a highly compatible sibset. Chelsea Victoria is my favorite pairing of the name.
