Shyam, Kabir, other? For Indian boy
hi there,
My son, Keshav, is going to have a younger brother. What do think about Shyam (pronounced, "shahm," like "Sean" but with an m) or Kabir (kah-BEER). They both have beautiful meanings. Shyam means dark, blue, alludes to the blue-skinned god, Krishna, and Kabir was a historical figure who started the Bhakti spiritual movement in india.
Any other excellent, easy to pronounce Indian boy names? I love my first sons name, because he goes by Kesh (kaysh) which I think is soft, without being feminine, easy, mature. Trying to find those attributes in another name.
Thanks!

I like Shyam best. I think people will like the reference to Krishna!

We also considered Keyur (Kay-YOOR) but husband nixed it as too feminine. Any other input?

I like Keyur. It doesn't seem feminine to me, but I don't know about the history or meaning of the name.
