Blake as a girls name?
I really am having a hard time deciding on a name- but I know I want to incorporate family somehow. My middle name is Elizabeth- and it is also on both sides of the family. So we think we want to have her middle name Elizabeth. Since that is pretty girly- I thought a unisex/different name would be nice as a first name to offset Elizabeth. Blake is my grandmothers maiden name- so I thought that would be neat to use. But then we like a couple of other names too...what do you think?
Blake Elizabeth
Cameron Elizabeth (my husband wants to spell it Camryn- but I don't think that looks right- almost too trendy)
Campbell Elizabeth
Reese Elizabeth
Collins Elizabeth (very different- but ever since I heard it on the Blind Side I fell in love with it)

From your ideas, I like Cameron the best. It's strong and unisex, but it also has nickname potential (Cam, Cammie, etc.). I think Blake is a little too masculine to be a boy's name, even when paired with Elizabeth. The only girl I've heard it on is Blake Lively.
Here are a few other ideas:
Blaire
Jade
Avery
Bailey
Harper
Peyton
Good luck!

My pick would be Collins Elizabeth, I always wondered if people would start to use that. At first when I heard it, I thought it was kind of a weird name, but now I really love it. My second choice would be Blake Elizabeth, even though I'm usually way against boys names for girls. It always reminds me of Blake Lively, more sophisticated than tomboyish. Plus, it actually means something to you personally.

I think all of these names are too masculine, but out of the bunch, I would go with Cameron.
Elliot ~ Silas ~ Henry ~ Lazarus ~ Samuel
Evie ~ Sophie ~ Rosalie ~ Phoebe ~ Mavis
Crushes: Jubal ~ Avery ~ Artemis ~ Persephone

I like Blake the best out of the list. I worked with a girl named Blake who was very fashionable and sweet...and really managed to keep her cool in stressful situations! I also like the name Lake which is similar and a bit more girly, but really doesn't pair well with most last names.
I like Blake better on a girl than a boy, but Cameron I like more on a guy.
