What do you think of the name Freya? She was a norse goddess similar to Maia, and would fit your daughter's features beautifully Or what about Flora? Another goddess associated with Spring.

    Luna Josephine
    Eden Josephine
    Ariel Josephine

They came to mind for me. Luna and Eden go great with Jude. And Ariel has the "ah-ri" sound which is very similar to the "ah-ni" sound you love in Ani. I think you certainly need to keep Josephine or at the very least a name that shortens to Jo or Joie because she is accustomed to this nickname.

You seem to be keep coming back to Ani. What does your husband think of this name? I think you need to think hard about whether you think that name will work, especially if your name is Abi. Something just feels awkward with Ani. And people will mispronounce it Annie a lot.

Someones suggestion of the nn Fina or Phina, is a great one. They're great! Also, a stretch, but what about Sephie?

I believe that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

I really love Josephine. Have you considered Fina for a nickname? I also love so many of the suggestions. Personally, I would leave it Josephine and come up with a nickname you love.

Fiona sounds like it would fit her really well! Also, the first name that came to mind when you described her was Zoey. Zoey Josephine sounds nice. Good luck!!
    Anja Evangeline.
    Roman Evander.

I'm sorry to say this, but the problem isn't chosing the "wrong" name, it's chosing no name at all. It doesn't matter if her name is Maya or Josephine or Ani. It does matter that she is 7 month old and still has no name. A name is a part of the identity. You will always find one that is better than the other at that moment. There is no perfect name. All names mentioned are perfectly fine IMO. I think Ani is cute, maybe Annika is an alternative. But just don't wait any longer for "the perfect name". Apparently you haven't found it in 16 month so probably you're just way beyond that feeling.

    Good Luck!
