I really hate it when a thread is old and done that someone chooses to comment on it. What is their motivation?

The motivation is to provide more ideas, for more people. These threads are still here for people to read, so while it may be too late to help the original poster, it could still benefit someone else, perhaps someone new...nothing wrong with that! This site is all about ideas, and we're all just providing name ideas and opinions.

I love the sound of this, but I'm not so sure i'm in love with the spelling. I prefer the traditional Ireland, mainly because of the harsh D sound at the end. Although I don't necessarily mind Irelynn. I don't know why that second n makes such a difference to me.

I really like it, I know a friend who named her baby Irelyn and it is super cute! A cool way to honor Irish heritage without using Ireland. I personally think Irelyn is more a "name" compared to Ireland.
