Red face Confession: Worst name you ever considered?

What is the worst name you ever considered?

I'll go first. I love fairies (the winged nature sprites) (I know I'm a dork), and I imagined my future daughter with the name Fairy. I thought it would be the more adorable thing ever. Until I remembered that one day, she'd be an adult woman and would have to introduce herself as "Fairy". Not to mention the alternative slang definition of the word fairy and how that would affect her. Now I can't believe I ever considered it!

When I was a tween, I thought that kre8ive spellings were great. I thought the name Jasmine, spelled Jazzmyne, was awesome. Ha!

Okay, anyone else? I can't be the only one who has considered awful names or spellings...

I had a crush on a guy named Hal. So that was what I wanted to name my future son for about a year.

Oh, I can't really think of any I seriously wanted to use that are just awful.

I remember liking Gypsy, Sonata, and Orchard for girls, and seriously crushing on Olivia Gypsy as a combo a while ago. I never would have used them (still won't, since I still love them in a GPish way). Sonata is probably the most likely, though--it has such a sweet sound and I have personal connections to the Moonlight Sonata, etc.

I can't think of anything for a boy... Apparently I liked the idea of Asher for a girl, though, which kind of makes me sick. I found it in this orphanage roster for a novel I had started back in high school, and I almost baby vomited, haha.

Oh man...I don't think I've really had any ideas that were awful, or maybe I just don't remember them cause they were so bad! lol

I guess the closest thing would be when I loved the name Fawn, and thought the meaning just made it so cute to use.
I still like it, but I'd use it as a middle name probably.

Thankfully, I've never had bad taste in names. As I reflect on it, it's always been rather good.

The one my family continuously makes fun of me for (I maintain that it's still not that bad) was Aubrey James for a boy. I also had Cayden on my list way back in like 2003, pretty far ahead of the curve for that one. I got over it pretty quickly, thank god - I can't stand any of the -ayden names now.

For a girl... the worst ones that spring to mind are probably Beltane (pron. BALL-tah-nah) NN Bella for no apparent reason, or Sabbath NN Saba. I went through a weird phase in middle school.

Edit: I just remembered my mom suggesting it would be cute to name a daughter Panda when I was like 15 and obsessed with pandas, so I favored that for about a week before realizing it wasn't a good idea. Again, thank god.

When I was pregnant with my oldest boy I was teaching kindergarten and had the cutest little girl named Eunice in my class...I truly considered it in the event we were to have a girl. For five minutes!

Oh boy. I've had some whoppers. First there was Magnolia, which is just way over the top for my naming style now. Enid, which I still like as a guilty pleasure. I flirted with Wendell, on a girl. (Again, still a bit of a guilty pleasure - kind of a shortened Gwendolyn, maybe?) Always have had better taste with boys. I loved Aidan years and years ago, and hate that it's in the Top 10 now and has spawned Jayden and Zayden.

Nava Dean, I really don't think it's awful but my mom still teases me about it

I also really loved the name Gavin Book for a boy, but now I really don't like Gavin at all

When I was thirteen, I thought that name Essence was perfect. I was a completely different person two years ago, he he.
