    Gladiator Names!

Hey guys, just thought I'd make a list of the names of both the minor and major characters in the popular TV series, Spartacus. Some of these names are really quite lovely, and it'd be a shame to see them go to waste!

    BOYS:
    Spartacus
    Quintus
    Lentulus
    Batiatus
    Oenomaus (Animeus)
    Crixus
    Ashur
    Gaius
    Claudius
    Agron
    Aulus
    Barca
    Pietros
    Duro
    Gnaeus
    Hamilcar
    Kerza
    Rhaskos
    Segovax
    Varro
    Albinius
    Calavius
    Lovis
    Decius
    Solonius
    Mercato
    Numerius
    Ovidius
    Ramel
    Sextus
    Titus
    Tullius
    Vettius
    Cossutius
    Auctus
    Donar
    Lugo
    Nasir

    GIRLS:
    Lucretia
    Naevia
    Ilithyia (Ilithia/Ilithea)
    Aurelia
    Licinia
    Caecilia (Seyselia)
    Mira
    Domitia
    Aemilia
    Sura
    Gaia
    Melitta
    Diona
    Saxa
    Thessela

Some of these would be quite a brave choice to name your child! Would anyone here chose a name from this list? There are a choice few that I think would work well in the real world!

So funny! I was just about to post something like this but figured I'd check to see if someone already had. I've been obsessed with Ilithyia ever since I heard it. From what I've read, it's derived from the Greek goddess of childbirth and midwifery - interesting given her story line. The other names I would consider are: Asher (this spelling), Amelia (this spelling), Aurelia, Mira, and (if I get brave enough) Gaia.

Spartacus names are the best! I love Spartacus itself, though it's not exactly usable (except for a pet---I'd love a dog named Spartacus), and Varro, as well as Pietros. For girls, I love Lucretia, Ilithyia, Naevia, Mira, and Saxa. The rest vary based on my opinions of the characters.
