New Addition to the British Royal Family

The Queen's grandson Peter Phillips and his Canadian-born wife Autumn have welcomed their second daughter, Isla Elizabeth. Older sister is Savannah. Isla and Savannah are not only two place names but they are nature names as well.
    All the best,
    Mischa.

@saracita00: since these two girls are the Queen's great-grandchildren, have no titles and therefore "commoners", I guess they figured that one middle name was the way to go! I can't find any mn for Savannah.
    All the best,
    Mischa.

Prince William's wife's name is not Princess Kate. She will never be Princess anything. She is Catherine, HRH the Duchess of Cambridge. If William ever becomes Prince of Wales, she will become Catherine, HRH The Princess of Wales. Princess is reserved for those children who are daughters and granddaughters (of sons) of the king or queen. Except, of course, for Lady Louise Windsor, the daughter of Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex. It is probable (although uncertain) that when Prince Edward becomes the Duke of Edinburgh that Edward's children will become Princess Louise and Prince James of Edinburgh.

I do like Isla Elizabeth, I think that's a great name. Savannah doesn't rock my boat, but many of the "lesser" royals have either trendsetting names or names that are relatively normal for these times. The Earl of Ulster's daughter is Lady Cosima, for example, and Lady Helen Taylor set the bar fairly high with her children Columbus, Cassius, Eloise, and Estella -- way ahead of the curve.

It will be interesting to see if Zara Phillips Tindall (sp?) has children and what she names them.

I'd also be very interested in what the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will call their children. I'm a massive fan of Catherine, I find her inspiring and fascinating. She's so normal, yet extraordinary.

Isla Elizabeth isn't to my taste, but perfectly acceptable. I vastly prefer Louise and James to Savannah and Isla.

Isla Elizabeth is a beautiful name but it doesn't scream "royalty". I much prefer it to Savannah.
