Oh, a friend of mine had a boy, but the girl name she had picked out was Anniston. That has the same feel as Addison to me, but is less popular, has lots of nn potential, and is spunky like Avery. Maybe that one would be a good alternative to Addison?

Avery is my favorite girl name, it is so pretty! I don't know if anyone has suggested this yet, but I have always liked the name Annabel. It think that it could go pretty well with Avery. I agree that Addison would also be a really good choice for your family, I don't think its a big deal if you use it also, especially if the little girl is 6. What about....
