Question A name for the villian's son

In my current manuscript, the villian has an unnamed son who will play a big role in book 2. I can't, for the life of me, figure out a name for this fellow.

He's going to be handsome, charming, and cunning. Sly, sneaky, and a selfish liar. He might even become the main villian of book 2. I haven't gotten the outline set yet.

His family has a history of using pretentious, long winded names. (like Octavius, Napolean, though not those in particular)

The book's genre is urban fantasy, so "crazy" names are just fine!

I would love to hear some ideas!

How old is he? What time period are we talking about? Or is it an alternative reality/world you're creating?

He's in an alternate world. He'll be about 18-19. Modern time period, though that shouldn't influence the name.

Aurelian (male version of Aurelia) seems to fit him really well. (but my username has Aurelia in it so I might be biased...)

Aurelian is awesome, and I was seriously considering it until I remembered the protagonists' name. It's got the same first three letters, general vowel-sounds and syllables (but it's not Aurelia, I promise!). But I really love that it ends in "an". Hmm....

Thank you so much for the suggestion!

I was thinking Mace or Damon until I got about half-way through your post...

If your looking for something strange and unique...
    Athanasios
    Callixtus
    Aten
    Kyros
    Eustachius
    Donatianus
    Aristokles
    Thucydides
    Varinius
    Atilius
    Paramonos
    Hermogenes
    Laurentius
(Found a few of these on a name generator at Behind the Name)

Okay, not sure what happened to my last post, but I'll try this again.

Thank you so much coffee stain! I love nearly all those names, especially Calixtus, Kyros, and Aristokles... actually, I especially love all of them. A name generator is a great idea, and I might have to use it for a couple others. For this character, I found some appropriate place names in ancient maps. Now is the hard part-- actually choosing the name.

What about the names Silvain or Vladimir? Very masculine, can be used on a supernatural being or villain. Not too out there, though, and can be easier to pronounce.

Vladimir has the sound I'm looking for, but I think for me, it's too connected to the historical association. Silvain, though, definitely works. It's now on the list! Thanks so much.
