Hi I need help with choosing a name for our new addition to the the family. I already have a springer spaniel called maddie and would like some suggestions for our new little girl please. I am tempted to include the 'blue' theme.....but am not sure. I was hoping to create a poll so you could all vote on my choices but not sure how to do it.....????

Cocker Spaniels are so happy, sweet and friendly so I would choose a name that "sounds" this way too!

1 Hattie (if you don't mind a Maddie and a Hattie, this would be lovely!)

2 Lottie (again, this has the same issue as Hattie)

3 Violet (since she is a Blue Roan, I think this name would be lovely).

    Honorable mentions:
    Iris, Phoebe and Tilly.

I'm not too crazy about Maci (with Maddie?), Lexi, Blue or Sky.
    All the best,
    Mischa.

Would have gone for Maddie, but a Maddie and a Hattie sound way too alike! Ditto for Lottie. I think Maddie and Blue sound super sweet together. Also like Tilly, Phoebe, and Sky. Would suggest Indigo (nn Indie though you could pull Gogo, Digger, etc. too).

    ellenelle,

I hadn't really thought about what they would sound like together so thanks for pointing that out. I agree with you. Yes Indigo was another I'd considered but I ditched it cos its 3 syllables even though i've allowed Violet to creep into the list I don't think 3 syllable names really work for dogs.....unless of course you shorten them......and I think Indie is lovely.
