    Mila with a sibling Lila?

Hi All! Thinking of girl names for #3. I currently have 2 daughters named Anna and Lila (pronounced with a long I sound). My current front runner is Mila (prounounced Mee-la). Are the names Lila and Mila too similar, even though they are pronounced differently? Would it help to change the spelling to Milah, or Meela? Also, do you think people will get the pronunciation wrong and pronounce it with a short or long I sound? Thanks!

I think it would lead to people accidentally pronouncing Lila Lee-la...what about Willa

I personally love Mila, but I do think its too similar to Lila, even with the different I sounds. Milah to me looks like MY-luh.

I agree that it is too close. Would Milly (maybe nn for Millicent) work? I like the suggestion of Willa too. Stella would also work well with your sibset.

If that's the one you love most (Mila), use it. You may have to correct people here or there, but that's better than not using a name you love then regretting it.

They seem too close to me. Both four letters and share three letters.

I agree that they're too close, just by the way they look. I think you'd be calling out LEE-lah and MY-lah a lot. Willa and Stella are lovely suggestions. What about Camille or Camilla?

Mira or Mina might work if you want to stick with a short M name ending in A.

    Or do you like Mia?

I also like the suggestion of Milly/Millie on it's own-- it's a nn turned name in my opinion.

Way too similar look like badly chosen twin names.
