What are your thoughts on the name Thatcher? We were thinking of naming our son Thatcher James.

I also adore it! I named a character Thatcher John once. I guess it just pairs well with j names in the middle?

I dont care for it because it reminds me of Margaret Thatcher. I'm not British but I know enough about her that the connection is so strong and mostly negative for a lot of people so I dont think I would want to saddle a kid with that. However a lot of people like it and if youre not British or ever planning on going there maybe the name would work fine.

I wouldn't personally as I'm British, but without the unfortunate context Thatcher is a fairly cute name for a boy.
