Josiah and I met at the mall one night in Pennsylvania. He was there with his family to give a speech at the local high school and I was home on my first Spring Break from college. We had been in line for a pretzel when we started talking. We really hit it off and he gave me his number to text him sometime. We talked on and off for months until he finally asked me out on a date. He would fly all the way from Arkansas to see me back in PA.
We married after being together for 3 years. We had kissed before our wedding, much to the disapproval of his family. But we didn't care. We were so happy. I was 20 at the time we married.
About 10 months after we married I had twins Lydia "Lyddie" and Matthew "Matt". We knew twins ran in the family so we weren't too surprised. But then a year and a half later when I got pregnant with twins again, it was crazy. Caroline "Carly" and James joined us and we couldn't have been happier. We stayed a little family of 6 for another 3 years until Gregory "Greg" joined us and then 10 months later Ariana joined the party too.
Having six kids under the age of 7 was extremely difficult. We waited to start trying for another child for almost 4 years. Almost immediately, we get pregnant and nine months later Chloe Jane was born. Then, a little more than a year later, Allegra and Emmeline "Emma" came too. At that point in time Lyddie and Matt were 10, Carly and James were 8, Greg was 5, Ariana was 4, Chloe was 1, and Allegra and Emma were newborns.
Once Allegra and Emma were 3 and going to pre-school, Josiah and I started itching for another baby. Thus, Andrew "Drew" was born 10 months later. Two years later, I found out a miracle had occured...I was pregnant with identical girls and identical boys! Isaac, Evan, Audrey, and Eden were born a month early, but perfectly healthy!
When the quads were almost 5, I found out I was pregnant again. By this time, Lyddie and Matt were already 20 and out of the house, Carly and James were 18 and had graduated high school and were at college, Greg was 15, Ariana was 14, Chloe was 10, Allegra and Emma were 9, and Drew was 6. So we only had 10 kids at home! Lily and Lucas were born, then when they were 1, Nicholas "Nicky" came too.
Nicky was 2 when Erin was born and 4 when Elliot was born. We thought we were totally done having kids by the time Elliot was 3, but Georgia and Nora graced us with their prescence. Now, they're 5 and both Josiah and my tubes are totally tied. NO MORE KIDS. I mean, come on! We beat my in-laws!
And just for the record, my children were all raised Catholic, but they chose it. They went to Mass every Sunday, but when they were 7, I asked them to make a choice; Communion or stay home. All of them chose Communion. They weren't raised like Josiah was. We were much more loose with discipline and they all attended or attend public school.
I have 7 grandchildren. Lydia has Michael Thomas who is 5 and Isabella Ivy whos is 2. Matt has Rian Faith who is 7 and Riley Grace who is 6. Greg has an 11 year old daughter named Danielle. Ariana just gave birth to a son named Adrian Josiah. And Audrey has a 2 year old daughter named Primrose!
