Sydney or Isla?
Which one do you prefer? We are having a hard time deciding. Thanks!

They are both pretty! I like them for different reasons. I love Sydney because it is strong but still feminine enough, I like the nn "syd" and I've always met sweet and beautiful girls named Sydney. I like Isla because it is a beautiful sounding name without trying too hard.
Both of these names have been on my list. I was worried about Sydney being too popular, but I posted one time on another board and was surprised that people responded that they only knew 1 person or so with the name.
Can't go wrong with either! If it was me, I'd probably end up picking Sydney... but it would be a struggle because they are both great names!

I really like both, but my heart leans toward liking Isla just a little more. Best of luck on your decision!

Isla! I agree with a pp that Sydney feels a bit dated, and I've heard Sidney for boys quite a bit lately so it feels a bit masculine to me, too. Right after I finished seeing the TV show Alias, though, I loved Sydney for a girl. I think Isla will age better, personally, but I think Isla Sydney would be a really cute combo.
Good luck!Ashley
