    Lightbulb full name for Cordie?

I came across the name/nickname Cordie the other day and thought "neat, like Corduroy," so I do like the warm sound of it. However, I feel it needs a longer full name? I was thinking maybe Coriander the d form the ander part. Is that too much stretching? Is Corduroy the only name that can be a longer form of Cordie? Opinions on Cordie?

p.s. I just am fascinated by names and the stories behind them, no little ones for me.
I really like names and the stories behind them. I also write short stories, thus in need of character names.

    Cordelia! Love it!

I think almost any name that starts with "Cor" could work. Corrine is another one I can think of.

Cordelia is the first thing that came to mind. I also love the sound of Coriander. But it seems like a boy's name to me.

I also want something that isn't heard of a lot so that rules out Courtney. I do like Cordelia though. Do you think the name Corduroy is too oddball?

Love the suggestion of Cordelia! I think that's just charming. Corduroy is a bit too out-there for me, sorry. I don't really like it on a girl, either--if I saw the name Corduroy, I would assume it was a little boy.

Cordelia was my first thought. Or maybe a Cor- name with a D middle name? For example, Coralie Delilah could easily become Cordie. Cora or Corinne would work too.

Corduroy is like naming you child Denim or Argyle to me. It's a type of clothing, not a child.
