"Normal" Alternatives?

Hi berries!

Recently I've found my name style a bit too out there for me. I would like to find names that are more normal, so to speak. Still distinctive and interesting, but names that would wear well on an actual person.

Current names;
Calliope
Ariadne (obviously Penelope would be the alternative for these two)
Octavia
Olympia
Ottilie
Araminta
Hero (Juno, Clio...?)

(My "normal" list is Cordelia, and Odette)

I like pretty much everything on your list. In particular, I'm always thrilled to see other people who like Hero. Olympia is another one that I don't think gets enough love.

Ariadne isn't out there at all! Everyone knows of Ariana, or Aria, so Ariadne isn't outthere. Only issue would be spelling it for some, but if you love the name, spelling it will be a minor side issue.

I do think the others are more tricky.

I love Cordelia for you, and I'm big fan of Odette. (I'd love to use it as a middle for a daughter.)

A lot of these names are beautiful but I understand wanting more "normal" choices. I am the same way. Maybe I can help!
Calliope - try Candice or Persephone - although Persephone isnt that normal either, I think it is more common than Calliope.
Ariadne - i have a friend named that and I dont like it. It reminds me of arachnid i guess. Areli, Arielle and Adrianne are much more easy to read off of a business card.
I think Octavia is a great name as is. I've got nothing for the others.
What do you think of the names Daphne, Diana, Zoe, Cleo, Chloe, and Athena?
