    If this was your scenario...

If this was your scenario, what would be your top name picks?

    1) Fairly common 2-syll last name (which is also popular for a first name now too)
    2) Last name ends with the sound –LEE, so most names with -Y/IE/EE ending sound too rhymey
    3) Have no control over middle name due to cultural reasons, but I expect it to be VERY long (will be given at birth/Hawaiian)
    4) Will be first child, don’t know sex yet, but looking for a no frill, easy to spell/pronounce name (likely for a sporty, down-to-earth kid)
    5) Hoping to avoid anything too trendy or anything destined for huge popularity

What names would be on your list if this was you?

My first thought is Peyton, for a boy or a girl.

Also for a boy/girl I'd think Casey/Kasey/whatever your preference. Riley/Ryley for either gender probably wouldn't sound so bad with a -lee last name, as long as it isn't Marley or doesn't rhyme. Also, August, Cadence or Rain(e)?

Girl: Katherine, Hannah, Patricia, Madalyn, Danielle/a, Kira, Anastasia, Alexandr(i)a, Starla, Faith, Taylor, Skye, Macy, Elizabeth, Johannah, Blanca, Avril, April, Meredith, Adalyn, Marissa, Melissa, Annette, Marie, Cassidy, Jana, Octavia, Janet, Olivia, Lilly

Boy: Jordan, James, Harlan, Ryan, Matthew, Tyler, Seth, Camden, Jasper, Parker, Wesley, Bryce, Jason, Stephen, Robert, Alexander, William, David, Allan/Allen, Rico, Skyler, Julius, Casper, Lyndon, Landon, Lennon, Enrique, Ryker, Tucker, Octavio, Carter, Grayson

I don't think I picked any name that'd be too hard or that would stand out with a Hawaiian middle name, but some might waver. Since your last name is two syllables, either a fairly long or short first name would work with a long middle name. Anastasia Kaiolohia Marley, for example, sounds just fine.

Good luck! HTH And I think the other posters really hit the head on the nail here, looking back.

My first impulse was Blythe for a girl. Wren would also be fantastic. For a boy, I would go with Graham, Levi, or Zane.
