I love your list!
Amelia - pretty but it's never really appealed to me. I like Emilia more.
Ariana - love! A variation of this name, Arianne, is my second favorite girls' name.
Audrey - pretty but it's always felt a bit boring to me. I like it much better as a MN.
Caroline - love! I'm considering adding it to my list, but I like another feminine Charles variant, Charlotte, more.
Celia - pretty but it's always been a bit nicknamey to me. I think Cecilia nn Celia works a bit better.
Charlotte - adore! This is on my top five.
Claire - I like it, but as a MN only. I like Clara as a FN more.
Eleanor - This is actually one of the MNs I have for Arianne.
I love it.
Elizabeth - Pretty, but there are a few other Elizabeth forms I like more--particularly Isabelle, Lillian, and Eliska.
Eloise - pretty and I think it'd be a stunning MN, but I like Elise more.
Grace - love. I actually love the idea of Grace Eloise!
Helena ( heh lee na) - love this (and Grace Helena), but I'm not crazy about the heh-LEE-nah pronunciation. I used to love it, but I much prefer heh-leh-nah now.
Katherine - like a lot but I prefer Catherine.
Laura - pretty but a bit boring to me. I like Laurel or Lorelei more.
Lillian - love! I'm trying to decide between Lillian and Liliana for my list.
Louisa - pretty. I'm starting to prefer Eloise, though.
Madeline - I like it a lot but prefer Madeleine (with the "len" ending as opposed to the "line"...)
Matilda - sweet, and I adore the nn Tilly! It's not exactly my style but I like it a lot.
Meredith - not really my style, and I don't think it fits as well as the other names on your list.
Olivia - love! This is actually my third favorite girls' name.
Olivia, Lillian, Grace, Helena, Charlotte, and Ariana are my favorites!
Good luck!Ashley

Amelia - This is one of my all time faves. It's absolutely gorgeous, perfect almost, if it wasn't so popular (UK)
Ariana - I used to love this. Now I think it's spunky and kinda cute but it isn't a favourite.
Audrey - Not a fan. I've never liked it.
Caroline - So classic and lovely! I rarely meet little Carolines, which makes me like it even more. I'm starting to prefer Coraline, though.
Celia - Very delicate but sturdy sounding. Very underused!
Charlotte - SO popular in the UK. It's a bit dull in my opinion.
Claire - Again, dull. I absolutely love Clara though.
Eleanor - Lovely, but nothing special. This is another popular one in the UK (where it is only ever ella-nah, not el-uh-nor)
Elizabeth - I actually seem to prefer it's middle names, but Elizabeth is beautiful as well.
Eloise - I've had several dodgy experiences with Eloise, and I don't find it particularly attractive sounding, honestly.
Grace - I don't really like Grace that much. It's a perfectly nice name, I'm just not keen.
Helena - I automatically pronounce this like 'Helen-uh' but it seems the most common on NB is 'Hell-AY-nah'. I like it.
Katherine - Like Elizabeth, I prefer it's nicknames. It is beautiful, although a bit dull.
Laura - Dislike. Overused.
Lillian - I like Lillian. It's not my favourite lily- name, but it's sweet.
Louisa - I really love Louisa! So gorgeous.
Madeline - Really pretty, but I prefer the Madeleine spelling.
Matilda - LOVE Matilda! Although it is common in the UK.
Meredith - So lovely and sweet! I'd love to meet a baby Meredith.
Olivia - I'm probably a little biased being an Olivia myself, but I think it's beautiful.
Reading through this I seem very negative which wasn't intentional! On the scale of things, you have a wonderful, classic list. I suppose I was just being a little harsh. Anyway, my favourite 10 are:
Amelia, Ariana, Celia, Eleanor, Lillian, Louisa, Madeline, Matilda, Meredith and Olivia.Last edited by oliviasarah; February 18th, 2012 at 08:00 PM.

For your list it helps me to look at popularity, so I've included the 2010 rankings...
Amelia - I don't like the way this name sounds, just a personal opinion, #41 (do you like Ameline?)
Ariana - Only as ar-ee-ah-nah, not air-ee-ah-nah or ar-ee-ann-uh, #83
Audrey - it's nice, #52 (I suggest Audriana, #953, which seems like a combo of Ariana and Audrey)
Caroline - nice, classic, #88
Celia - don't like, #743
Charlotte - don't like, #45
Claire - only as a middle name, #53 (do you like Clara? #167)
Eleanor - nice, #165 (do you like Eleanora?)
Elizabeth - hate this one, #12 (do you like Elisabetta?)
Eloise - love, #530 (I suggest Eloisa, similar to both Eloise and Louisa)
Grace - only as a middle name, but even then it seems like a filler, #18
Helena ( heh lee na) - I don't see why the second E would be prn different than the first E? Hel-ay-nuh or hel-en-uh would be the way to go, #534
Katherine - nice, but I like international variants better, #70 (do you like Katarina, Catalina?)
Laura - nice, #275
Lillian - I only like Lilia, Lilliana, etc, that end in A, #21
Louisa - very pretty, I like the nn Louie
Madeline - nice, #77
Matilda - nice, #800
Meredith - very nice, #603
Olivia - nice, but way too popular, #4
My favorites are Caroline, Eloise, Louisa, Helena, Meredith, Matilda, Madeline, and Laura.
