Katherine & Katharine : classic or boring?

I have a Katharine and I love it! While we do love to call her Katie, Kate, and Kat, I also call her Katharine. Using the full name Katharine might be a way to avoid "boring" since not too many Katharines actually use the full name.

I think Katherine is classic, but depends on if and what nicknames are used.

oooh! I love that you are considering Katharine considering the other names in your ticker (Geneva is one we considered, too) I love Theodore, William & Henry, too.

Would you use the 'double A' Katharine without fear of being corrected? I think it is so pretty.

One of my main fears (which you probably are aware of since you read the thread I posted) was the Katharine would constantly need correction, but I can't overlook its beauty. Katherine doesn't have the same sparkle to me, sadly, so if we went with it, she'd be Katharine, no contest.

I don't think it's boring at all! It's a beautiful name. I prefer Katherine to Katharine, and prefer Catherine to them both (a little less common than the K version but more vintage/classic if that's what you're going for.)

To me, Katherine and Anna are both classic! As they are, I prefer Anna to Katherine, mainly because I adore the nn Annie and I prefer the Catherine spelling. Georgiana Kate happens to be my favorite of your combos, but I like the nns Georgie, Gigi, and Annie better than Georgia or Anna. Anna Katherine Jane is my second favorite combo.
