I voted for Bertha Genevieve. It gives Bertha the most life, imo. Bertha is one of those names that I don't think will be revived for a while because it has such a grandma feel, but Bertha Genevieve does liven it nicely.

    I voted for Genevieve.
But when I hear Bertha it just makes me think of 'Big Bertha'. Sorry, but I can't imagine this name being used without asking to be teased.

My great-great grandmother's name was the Norwegian version of Bertha, Berte. It's a much softer name and to my ears, beautiful -- it's pronunced bear-tah except I can't phonetically spell the way Norwegians say the "bear" part, it's too hard. Oh well.
    I like:

    Berte Solveig
    Berte Astrid
    Berte Tore
    Berte Sofie

    For Bertha, I like:

    Bertha Amabel
    Bertha Amari
    Bertha Cybele
    Bertha Helene
    Bertha Irene
    Bertha Clemence
    Bertha Pascale

I voted for Genevieve, because it helps Bertha lighten up a bit. While I adore Prudence, I think Bertha Prudence is doomed.
