    Derivatives of Mary

    I'd love to honor my sister Mary in naming my daughter ... without outright naming her Mary. I've been trying to come up with a derivative of Mary that's classic and not too unusual. I'd love to have the nickname 'Mer' ... but am not crazy about the name Meredith.

    Any thoughts?

    Oh darn, I just made a post very similar to this! I wish I had looked before I posted, because I didn't even see this! My mother and my MIL share the name Mary and we would like to somehow use it as well. What about Marabel?
