    Arlene is an Irish name, and the Irish version of Catherine is spelled Kathryn, so maybe if you do that, her nn can be Katy or Kate. For the best friend, maybe Melinda or Mariah. I say for the ex, maybe Drake, and for the boyfriend, Alexander nn Alex.

    Aoife, pronounced like ee-fa (nn Efie) or Caoimhe, pronounced kee-va.

    I would never know how to pronounce either of those, personally.

    Josephine? Anastasia? I don't know any Irish names, sorry. These are just random names I think of that appear (to me) to fit your criteria.

    MC's name: Anna or Aine (Irish Versions of Ann) called Nan or Nancy (versions of Ann) by her dad after Sinatra's "Nancy with the Laughing Face" and/or Nancy Sinatra
    Mc's sister: Maire
    MC's Brother: Colm (doves/peace)
    MC's Boyfriend: Cade
    His brother: Brent
    MC's Best Friend: Monica
    Her ex-bf: Joshua/Josh
