I think Clover is adorable. I don't really have a problem with it as a sister to Violet--my only problem is that I've always seen Clover as a bit nicknamey/childish. I've always thought Clover would make a nice nickname, with a fuller name, like Colette or Chloe, personally. So I voted against it, but I agree with some of the posters--if Clover is the name for you, I wouldn't change it. Clover Pearl is really cute.

I don't think Clover is too matchy with Violet and I personally don't find it anymore "out there" than Poppy. I think Ivy would be lovely too though. If you like Clover, go for it. I know how it can be hard to not listen to what family members say about your name choice though; I'm going through that right now myself.

If you want a naturey themed sib set Clover sounds great. Senna is beautiful too but not as obviously flowery.
    How about:
    Zinnia
    Baye
    Azalea
    Fleur
    Iris
    Jasmine
    Jessamine
    Narsissus
    Laurel
    Olive
    Petunia
    Rue
    Primrose
Susannah (black eyed Susan. Means lily)
Tansy (NOT pansy. This is also a flower LOL)
    Mariposa
    Not expecting, just collecting!

I love Clover and Violet as a sibset, I don't think the theme is at all in your face. Love Cloe as a nn for Clover

I voted too out there, but honestly, it's prob just b/c I've never known anyone named Clover. All names improve when they are attached to a sweet little child. The people you care about will prob come around once they have your child to associate the name with. I would just do it and not tell anyone else so you won't fret about their opinions needlessly.

Clover makes me think of a pet name, like for a bunny or puppy, and grass as in where you find clover both associations are very different from Violet which has a distinct history as a name, particularly popular in Victorian times.

    How about
    Rosamund
    Posey
    Primrose nn Posey
    Marigold
    Delphine
    Lilac
    Acacia
    Camellia
My favorite names (some indulgent and some I hope to use) --
GIRLS: Alyce, Berthe, Beryl, Beatrix, Calliope, Clementina, Elsa, Elodie, Helena, Isadora, Louisa, Lucille, Lilac, Maelle, Margot, Paulina, Pascale, Sabrina, Sibyl, Sylvana, Therese, Yulia, Zara, Zinnia.
BOYS: Alcott, Anders, Charles, Dylan, Desmond, Darcy, Edward, Elias, Eliot, Gilbert, Hugo, Jonah, Julian, Kyrill, Louis, Malcolm, Morgan, Montgomery.

I think Clover is adorable, but can't imagine a grown woman named Clover, so I guess I'm in the "too out there" camp. Though again, if you love it, go for it.

Aw, Violet and Clover actually share the letters LOVE. That's sweet.

And she could always be Chloe or "Cloe" (with an umlaut?) for short.
