Brother's name for Laura Claire
I need some advice here!
Our 2-year old is Laura Claire. Our surname is 3 syllables long.
I am due end of May 2012, but am unsure about the baby's gender.
My husband and I have more than enough ideas for sister-names, but are having trouble settling on boy-names...
What would go well with Laura Claire and a 3-syllable surname?
Thanks!

My name is Laura, nice to see some babies still being given the name! My brothers name is Daniel Mark which I think goes nicely. With your 3 syllable surname I would suggest a 2 syll first name with a 1 syll middle name. Hard to give suggestions at this stage without knowing what kind of style you are into? What have you picked for a sister name? I guess something classic?
How about
Thomas
Jacob
Alexander
Mathew
Daniel
Nathan
William
James
Caleb
Samuel
Jack
Henry
Oliver
Harry
Benjamin
Andrew
Marcus
Curtis
Stanley
Clancy
Noah?

Laura Claire is gorgeous and kudos to you for finding a 2-1-3 rhythm! I agree with babyoneday's suggestion of keeping that rhythm up, although I think 1-2-3 would also work. Here are a few more thoughts.
Laura Claire and Jude Nathaniel
Laura Claire and David James
Laura Claire and Oliver Miles (love the very subtle plant theme here, I don't think you'd have to keep it up in the future, but be aware)
Peter and Simon somehow come to mind for me too (probably not together though : D).
All best!

My recommendation is ...
Laura [and] Michael [or] Christina
... newer "core classic" names for your children.
