Twin boy name advice please!
Hi Nameberries,
I'm a bit stuck! We are expecting twin boys and i was really hoping to have decided on names by now - I'm due in 5 weeks, but could be sooner! I'd like a name that matches my daughter's name - Sarina (this was an easy choice that we really love). We have a three letter short surname. And although I LOVE these names (and their lengthened versions) i cant really use them as my husband's ex wife has already used them: Zack and Rafi (really wish i could, its just a moral issue and how close do we want our names to be to theirs!).
Max is my favourite name, but i'm not sure if I love all the Max endings - but i would like a long name that can be shortened to Max.
Here is my current list...please can you advise on these names and which ones would make a good twin pairing? Can you offer suggestions to add to this list that would match their style?
MAXIMILIAN (MAX)
LEONARDO (LEO)
ALEXANDER (ALEX, XANDER, ZANDER, SACHA)
SEBASTIAN (SEB)
MICHA
RAFAEL/RAPHAEL
ZACKARY (ZACK)
JORDAN
JOSHUA
JACOB
HARRISON
INDIANA
XAVIER
(by the way my husband doesn't like Micha or Sacha, but i've added them here as i would use them in a heartbeat!).
Thanks so much and all suggestions will be really appreciated!

Maximilian & Leonardo (Max & Leo)
Maximilian & Sebastian (Max & Seb)- guess depends if you want siblings to share the same initial as you already have Sarina?

My favorite combinations from your list are definitely:
Leonardo and Maximilian (Leo and Max)
Leonardo and Alexander (Leo and Alex)
I also like the name Sebastian and feel it would work well with the names I picked above, but I don't like the nickname Seb.
I recently had twin boys and know how hard the naming process is. Good luck with your boys!Mama to twin boys Oliver Graham and Luke Axel

Hi everyone, thank you so very much for your replies!! Its really great to get some support, there are some great combinations and suggestions here! Does anyone have an opinion on Max and Alex/Xander (they both have Xs in their name...). I keep changing my mind on the top two names - its such a big decision... as soon as the babies are born i promise to come back and tell you what we've chosen.
Sillysheila - I really wanted to use Swan as a middle name for my daughter - its so elegant and unusual, but instead i used my recently passed Grandmother's name instead as she was so special to me.

Max could be Maximilian, Maxwell, Maxton, Maximus, Maxley, Maxim, or Maximo. If it were me I'd pick Maxwell or Maxton. Maximilian reminds me too much of Goof Troop.
Maxwell and Sebastian
Maxton and Leo (I prefer just plain old Leo, Leonardo sounds pretentious to me)
Maxwell and Harrison
Maxton and Xavier
Other suggestions:
Maxwell and Julian
Maxton and Levi
Maxwell and Elliott
Maxton and Dominic
Maxwell and Jasper
Maxton and Ross
Maxwell and Jonas
Maxton and Quincy
Maxwell and Adrian
Maxton and Theo(dore)DH: Clifton Tyler 'Ty'
DS: Laikon Timothy
Me: Hannah Nicole
Girl: Tesla Lucille, Nova Simone, Petra Meredith, Liora Daphne, Zahara Marilyn, Pomona Roxanne, Ellowyn Claire, Shoshana Elizabeth, Doveva Lillian, Ramona Josephine, Onnaliese Irene, Vivienne Samantha, Heidi Rebecca
Boy: Locklyn Tyler, Hartel Steven, Saroyan Tyler, Desmond Steven, Roman Tyler, Leo Steven, Arden Tyler, Ezra Steven,
Odin Tyler, Gregory Steven, Zakarian Tyler, Jericho Steven, Warren Tyler, Theodore Steven

I think they do match in that 'we're a pair way' more than say Max and Leo, but that said, I am thinking you will use the longer versions as their given names so Max and Alex (or Xander) would be nicknames. If this is the case I don't find it overly matchy at all. For example, the pair Maximilian and Alexander doesn't scream we're twins at all. It sounds lovely in my opinion.
That said, I think Max and Xander sort of flow together if you try to say them in that order which might be annoying when you are trying to call for them. (When I envision it I try to say Max! Xander! but hear "Maxander".) Not sure if this is important to you at all, but just something I thought of.Mama to twin boys Oliver Graham and Luke Axel
