Mara is pretty - I've known two, and both had red hair, by coincidence. I will say that the first couple of times after meeting the first Mara I had a hard time remembering her name - was it Lara, Nora, Cora, Maura??

This name is nice overall, but at the same time, bland and forgettable. It doesn't feel substantial enough.

I adore Mara but she needs a really fantastic middle name to make it unforgettable. I'm partial to Mara Winifred myself.
