    "E" and "R" names...

I'm looking for classy, handsome, cool, maybe spunky "E" and "R" boys' names to go with the FN Noah. Any ideas?

I'd like to keep the initials NER (fn and two mns) since the initials NR would honor my sister and I seem to love "E" names paired with Noah.

Noah Elliot River is my original idea, but I've been doubting it lately. WDYT of the combo, and do you have any better ideas?

    Thanks!

P.S. I'm also curious... on a totally unrelated note. I came across the boys' name Joppie in this book I'm reading... I really don't like it, but it made me think of Joplin, which reminds me of Scott Joplin, whose music I used to love playing when I took piano lessons... It'd probably only ever be a GP name, but wdyt of Joplin for a boy?

I like Joplin, but might instinctively think it belonged to a girl because of Janis Joplin.

I think Noah Eli flows a bit better than Noah Elliot. Noah Everett, maybe?

I love River, have you also considered Ryder?

I love Noah Everett! I actually know a child named Noah Everett.

    How about Noah Everett Rhys?

I like Noah Elliot but I don't love River. I feel like Noah and River don't really go well together. And as for Joplin, I don't really like it either. If anything it seems kind of feminine. What about:

    Noah Edgar Ridge
    Noah Edwin Roscoe
    Noah Edison Rupert
    Noah Elliot Reaves
    Noah Elliot Roscoe
    Noah Elliot Rufus
    Noah Elsworth Rhett
    Noah Evander Reid
    Noah Earnest Ramsey
    Noah Euros Rafferty
    Noah Ezra Ralph

    Hope this helps

@lauran--I do love Everett. It was a huge contender for a FN, but I just can't imagine calling my son Everett all the time, so I nixed it, with hopes of using it as a MN. I really, really like Noah Everett. It could be a strong contender.

@littlebrownpony--I do like Noah Everett Rhys a lot. I'm a bit hesitant about one-syllable "R" names with my LN (very "R" heavy, and starts with an "R"!), but I do like it a lot.

@etak_llaw--with Noah, I love Edison, Edmund, Edward, Riley (this spelling), Rhys, and Rufus (HUGE GP! I adore this!). I like Ezra a lot, but not really with Noah. Noah Ezra sounds funny to me. With all the soft vowel sounds and all. I've been wanting to get a Narnia name into a combo on my boys' list, so Noah Edmund might be a great option. I don't *love* Edmund individually, or the character of Edmund in the Narnia series. I am a sucker for Ed- names with Noah, though. :/

I've also been loving Reagan on a boy lately, but I don't know if Noah and Reagan go together very well... :/

I also really, really love Noah Elias, but Caleb Elias Joseph is my favorite boy's name, and Noah is in my top five, too. I don't know about repeating names among such huge favorites. Which is why I probably wouldn't consider Noah Eli, since Elias and Eli are really close.

I like Noah Everret, Noah Edmund (redeem the name - go for it!), Noah Elias, Noah Evan. I think River is cool as a 2nd mn - - I'm not sure it has the great need to "flow" (pun! haha) as gracefuly as the first name and first mn. I like the suggested Rhys also. What about something totally out there like Randolf? I like Reid always... but again, I find nothing wrong with your fav, River. good luck.
Love my boys Jackson Isaiah (5), Isaac Andrew (3), and Ezra Jude (Dec 2011)

Girls' names I love but clearly will never use :
Oliva Eden, Eliza Kate, Mila Jane
