Looking for a mn to honor a Joyce Ellen - wdyt of Joelle?

Another vote for Joelle. I think it sounds pretty and a lovely way to combine the names.

I think Joelle is very pretty! Also, I've known two Joelles, one my age and one 10 years younger (I'm in my mid-thirties) and both were sweet and caring as well as exceptionally beautiful.

I prefer Joselin/Joceline to either Joy or Joyce. Ellen/Ellin/Eleanor are all family names and I like them equally.

Thanks everyone for sharing your thoughts with me - It's really nice to get some 'outside' opinions on Joelle. A couple of you mentioned that you prefer just using Joy, Ellen, or Joyce. We are deffinatly considering one of those, but they don't have the best flow with some of our first name options, so that's when I thought maybe we could combine the two names and use Joelle.... I do also like Jocelyn, but my husband isn't too found of that.
This whole issue is just hypothetical anyway, because we already have a different family name picked out for our first daughter - I'm just already thinking what we would use if we were to have a second little girl. I know, I'm WAY ahead of the game here! Lol!
