Finn, Declan, Sean and...?
So I'm pregnant with my first baby girl and I need some name advice! My three sons are Finnegan Joseph (Finn), Declan James, and Sean Patrick. We have a short list of girl names we agree on and they're kind of all over the place...
Brenna Elizabeth
Elizabeth Kate
Jocelyn Olivia (Josie)
Shannon Mary
Rowan
Anna
We also love the nn Allie but haven't settled on a given name yet
What do you think? What flows best with her brothers? Any other name suggestions? Thanks!
Abigail

Re: Finn, Declan, Sean and...?
Hi!
Congrats on expecting a baby girl! Here are some thoughts on your lovely options and some suggestions:
Brenna Elizabeth - I like this well with this sibling set!
Elizabeth Kate - less Gaelic, but totally works, to me. I think across genders is a good place to change styles a little bit.
Jocelyn Olivia (Josie) - Love the name! A bit less of a good fit, because it both is less Gaelic and keeps the -n thing going. I mean, that latter thing might be a good thing to some people, but I think since she's the first girl it might be nice to go with a different ending, if you like.
Shannon Mary - Shannon's a name that's losing some love and I don't really understand that, I think it's quite pretty! In this case though, it's too similar to Sean for my taste.
Rowan - I like this name a lot but since it's somewhat unisex AND all your boys' names end in -n it kind of sounds like she'd be their brother. Rory might mix it up a bit more, or Rowena.
Anna - Love Anna. Would be lovely with this set.
We also love the nn Allie but haven't settled on a given name yet - I like Alice a lot for you.
Some mostly Gaelic suggestions:
Aoife (EE-fa, I know, spelling, sigh...)
Aileen/Eileen (dated? But still pretty to me)
Aislinn (sounds like Ashlyn, but this Irish spelling is much prettier to me, if harder)
Bridget
Caitlin (I know, the Katelyn trend might have made this a bit tired? But I do think it's lovely)
Caoimhe (check my spelling, but Kiva. I know a few parents are starting to spell it Kiva)
Erin (losing love currently, but I still find it really cute)
Fiona (a lot of F with Finnegan, but I think it's OK)
Isla (not Gaelic really, but sounds it and alludes to the Emerald Isle)
Margaret nn Maggie or Meg (kind of hits the classic notes of Elizabeth, but the nn feels more Gaelic to me)
Megan (see Shannon, Erin, Kelly)
Mary nn Molly (Molly also reminds me of Allie a bit).
Molly (I think it stands completely on its own, just since you liked Mary at least as a middle...)
Niamh (Neev, again check my spelling, but some parents are starting to spell it Neve)
Kelly (see Erin and Shannon, you might like it for feeling a little like Allie?)
Rosemary (not sure why, I just see this working potentially)
Saoirse (SEER-sha, I know, the spelling is brutal, but it's pretty)
Tara
Sure there are more! Good luck!

Re: Finn, Declan, Sean and...?
Your boys names are adorable and love the irish theme. I LOVE the name Brenna and think it sounds great with the boys names. It's very femanine and unique. I also think Rowan is very cute. the other names are cute but don't sound as irish, so if you're going for that them, I'd go with Brenna or Rowan. Another cute irish girl name that would sound cute is Caelan.
Good luck and congrats on your baby girl!
