I hate my user name!

I have considered starting a new acct with a name I like better and just putting "formerly known as thetxbelle" in my sig so it doesnt look like im trolling or anything weird!

Maybe this is the only way to do it?

I remember seeing another member of the site (@ribbons-and-soldiers, I think?), and in her signature it says "formerly evanescencedolly" (haha, sorry, I have a really good memory...), so I always figured it was possible to change your name! But I just found the profiles for both pages so I guess she just started a new account or lost her password or something. I laughed out loud when I saw this thread because I always thought you could change your username (although I never tried), but now I'm not sure it's really possible...

I decided to start a new account - I used to be "hazelet". I like "namenutt" much better, but I hate that I cant go back to old posts I wrote as hazelet. I do hope that nameberry will oneday reply to this thread. Please. nudgenudgewinkwink

Sorry to bring you this disappointing news... but there is no way to change your user name without creating a new account with a different email address. Then, if you wanted to maintain your nameberry identity, you'd have to sign both names in your signature. Of course, you could add the name you wish you had to the signature now, and say "thetxbelle who wishes she were namebelle" or whatever.

I'm sure whatever tech person invented our signup mechanism (not Hugh -- he's just the messenger) could not imagine berries ie the kind of person who would care so much about their user names!
