Re: Names that bug you, or names you're sick of hearing?

I hate all the boys names on girls. A lot of names that I love for boys, like Kennedy and Sidney, are so popular for girls that it makes me afraid to name my son that. And I know quite a few baby girls named Noah. Sigh.
Anything ending in -ayden. Especially for boys. Nastyness.
I can't stand the -ay ending when it makes a -y sound. I always want to say Lind-SAYY.
Old ladie names. Pearl and Ruby? No.
Mikaela, McKenna, and all of their variations.
Olive. What does anyone find attractive about this name??
The unnecessary E on the end of a name. I know a girl named Mollye (blegh). And the -lynnE ending. Really?
I hate names ending in just -i, like Holli, Kelli, Jessi.
And lastly those names that are spelled so differently that you don't even recognize what the original spelling would be.

    Wow, that felt good!

I soooo agree with you. I hate Pearl and Ruby but Olive is in a category all by itself. What an unattractive name - just horrid. Olive - I absolutely detest that name.

Jayden (and all it's various spellings). I was neutral on this name the first time I heard it (about ten years ago or so) but it exploded so quickly and with such annoyance that I now hate it. I also dislike Jaylin on a girl and even more so on a boy.

My other big gripe is boys names on girls. Logan, Riley, Rowan, Avery, Ryan, Finley, etc. It's just awful.

    Ditto on Jayden. Blah.
