Re: Bram as a stand-alone name?

I first saw Bram as a quite unusual name. Now I don't question it as a full name (I'm generally very accepting of nickname names, so this doesn't say much).

Re: Bram as a stand-alone name?

I love Bram! It's actually in our top 2 for boys...ok we only have 2 on our list (I find boy names very hard to stay in love with). It can definitely be used on its own. In fact there are a lot of 'Brams' in certain parts of Europe. I have a friend in Holland who says it's extremely common there (like top 10 or 20 for the country).
Switching careers and becoming an RN! Sadly mommy plans will have to wait until that's done. Still loving names though!

Might have the Bram Stoker influence still hanging about, so a lot of association with vampires, Bohemia, and Dracula. I think Abram or Abraham would be the better path. It is an awesome nickname though : )

It's a very dark name to me, full of vampires and death. While I respect Bram, I would probably opt for Abram or Abraham. On the other hand, there are plenty of other kids running around with vampire names... so why not?

I'm not a huge fan but I think it's growing on me. I think someone on here has a little boy called Bram.
