    That wasn't really funny at all. And why did you have to use the name Shaniqua?? Shamela's parents might have combined Pamela with another name that starts with "Sh" instead. Hmmm maybe someone named Shane married a woman named Pamela and they chose the name that way. Who knows...it could have been a mix of Pamela and Shelby, Shawn, Sharon, Shelly, or any other name that starts with Sh. It irritates me when people automatically assume made up names are "black names." I also find it to be rude when people make fun of black names, but then accept other ethnic names. For example...when people make fun of names like Shaniqua, but then turn around and rant and rave over a name like Shoshanna, Tallulah, Chiara, Angelina, Serafina, Giovanna, and etc.

    We live in London but recently moved back here from the US and I was very surprised that in my daughters nursery school class in the US there were 2 little boys called Cayman.
