Hi, my name is Joelle Marie . My first and middle that is. I loveee my name. I have people not know how to pronounce it, but when I correct them, they always tell me it's beautiful. French people always know what it is, and my grandfather is Canadian French, he picked it I was told. What did you name your daughter?

Its my name I'm Joelle Alice

I never liked it growing up, it was always mispronounced 'Joel' or 'Jolie', but now I like having an uncommon name, especially of French origin! I'm named after my French godmother, so my name has meaning too

I often go by Jo or Jo-Jo, I think Elle- nicknames would go well too

hehe, it's nice to meet other Joelles!!

Oooooh, I think Joelle is a beautiful name!! So fun to hear from a couple real life Joelles. And I think Joelle Marie is a lovely combination! We are considering using Joelle as a middle name to honor a Joyce Ellen.

I think the 'OE' in the middle looks akward - I immediately want to say 'Jolene' - what can I say ... I'm a Dolly Parton fan

Now i'm thinking of Noel, and Joel (male) so obviously the OE isn't that odd ... I say if you like it, use it!

I know the 'e' is meant to have a diaeresis or 'umlaut' so it is spelt Joëlle, but i rarely spell it like this, as you cannot use symbols like that on drivers license/ online forms etc where I live I wish I could spell it like that all the time though, I think it looks nice

At least thats how my French aunt has always spelt it
