    Names for Redheads

I saw a 'hot list' for blonde babies and was wondering if there are any names out there you associate more with redheads, or that a redhead could best pull off? What do you think Berries?

I think I'll pass on Ginger...but I liked a lot of the other suggestions! I especially liked the meaning of Rowan. Too bad we're not Irish/Scottish/Welsh. I almost feel like it might be false advertising to give a redheaded child an Irish name when he/she is not Irish in heritage.

On the other hand...the Irish have some pretty cool names - like Finola!

I agree totally! My SIL thinks she's Irish just because she has red hair. She goes all out too. Her kids have irish names, her fave holiday is St. Patty's day, she plans tons of trips to Ireland to visit "where she's from". *rolls eyes* She's just as Irish as her brother (my husband and even he thinks its ridiculous). I think I'm more irish than she is, and I'm a brunette! lol.

That said, there's nothing wrong with giving your child an Irish name if thats the name you love! There are plenty obviously non-irish people out there who have irish names, so if you like a name you shouldn't limit yourself just so people think you are claiming something you aren't!

(unless, if you are like my SIL, your goal actually IS trying to claim something you aren't! lol). I *heart* my SIL, but its all true.
No kids, not expecting, but LOVE names!
