    Lilac Elisabeth or Elisabeth Lilac?

I can't decide which one I like better!

Hmm... I think I prefer the flow of Elisabeth Lilac... If you want Lilac as a first name, what about Lilac Lisbeth (if you like alliteration), Lilac Elsa, Lilac Isabel, or Lilac Bettina?

It does seem that word names generally work better in the middle, doesn't it? But if you really want an unusual name like Lilac, reducing it to a middle may not be satisfying. There's nothing wrong with Lilac Elisabeth.

Definitely Elisabeth Lilac-- Lily is a traditional nn for Elisabeth, so you could even nn her Lilac! As a first name, it seems very cutesy and might not age well.

Elisabeth Lilac flows slightly better than Lilac Elisabeth, but I still think I'd go for Lilac Elizabeth. Lilac is so pretty and underused.
