Arrow and LEE-lee-a/LEEL-ya) Now, its down to middle names. Here are some my husband and I were already thinking about. Any opinions would be appreciated!

Both of us are "scottish" (husband directly and me, from many generations ago), so we wanted to use a scottish name in the middle. Husband is Mackenzie Neil Paterson III. We decided, since Mackenzie has gone to the girls nowadays, to use a different first name and possible preserve the tradition with either name in the middle. I'm Savannah, so if we go with this option, we want to have Lilja Savannah, so both twins are named after their parents, not just one.

    The combos:

    Eero Neil Paterson
    Eero Mackenzie Paterson
    Eero Cameron Paterson
    Eero Maxwell Paterson
    Eero Graeme Paterson
Eero Reece / Reese / Rhys Paterson

    Lilja Savannah Paterson
Lilja Ainsley Paterson (initials are LAP though, not sure if I like this)
    Lilja Skye Paterson
    Lilja Fife Paterson
Lilja Isobel Paterson (again, Initials are LIP...)
    Lilja Brooke Paterson
    Lilja Paige Paterson

    Thank you!!
    I am VERY curious here.

1st I would pronounce Eero as EE-row, not Arrow. We have decided on Arrow (normal spelling) for our girl. So just wondering if you're saying it with a certain accent or dialect.

2nd, Lilly is my mother's maiden name & Lilly used to be Lilja about 4 generations back I'm pretty sure. I do alot of genealogy work. I believe the Lilja was changed to Lilly just to be Americanized. Anyway, I have papers saying that Lilja is a French surname & that the correct pronunciation is Lil-yah. So I'm just curious how you get the Leel-ya. I'm also looking at Lilja for a middle name to honor my maternal heritage.

And to address your question, I think your first choices are pretty good.

In my personal experience, Eero really is pronounced "Arrow", not "EE-ro". It's my grandpa's name, so I'm getting a kick out of seeing it pop up on Nameberry. His is spelled "Ero" with only 1 E though. I don't know if an alternative spelling was used to Americanize it a bit at the time, but it does keep people from pronouncing it "EE-ro".

Eero is a Finnish name and it's pronounced like 'air-o' accent on the 'air' bit.

I like Eero Mackenzie and Lilja Skye.
