New: Baby Names Around the World!

I love discovering different names, especially those that come from different countries. In this game, you will be asked to "visit" another country and bring back one boy name and one girl name and their meanings. I'll start with an example and then post the name of a country. The next poster "visits" and brings back names from that country. Then he/she will post another country for the next person.

    Example: CAMBODIA

    Boy: Rangsey "seven colors"
    Girl: Channary "moon faced girl"

    Next poster: ITALY

    My trip to Ireland yielded...

Boy: Lorcn "little fierce one" pron. LOR can

Girl: Saoirse "freedom" pron. SEER sha or SAIR sha depending on what Irish dialect you use! Saoirse is the actual Irish word for freedom, much like us in the states naming a kid "Liberty."

    Next stop: NIGERIA
