    I very much like Riley, but I had a dog named Riley and a good friend just named her son Reilley... plus, it's too unisex for my liking. I love it on other people's children, though. Barley is pretty cool, I never thought of that before.

    Hi Lyndsay!!! :-) Rye Becker does remind me of "rye baker," so I admit I picture some baking rye bread. (I'm sorry...) :-(

    My friends have a 5 year old daughter named Rye. I always do think of bread.

    What a coincidence this post is!!! Just this afternoon I was thinking that I like the name Rye.

    I heard that JD Salinger died, and how I would like to honor him with a name but don't like the name "Holden" so much. Then I thought "What about Rye?"

    So no, I definitely don't think of bread first. I quite like the name, but I'm sure everyone will think it is a nn for Ryan (a name I'm not so fond of).
