    Tree or wood names?

Hi! I am REALLY struggling to name my baby girl. I was really hoping to come across with a name thats meaning pertains to anniversary or something of the sort, but no luck. In the process, however, I stumbled across the list of traditional anniversary gifts... this will be our fifth, which is wood. I was thinking maybe a tree or wood-related name would be sweet! Any suggestions? Thank you!

    Re: Tree or wood names?

(Irisrose posted at the same time i did, so I apologise for any doubles!!)

Well, Hazel, Willow, Olive, Holly and Laurel are the obvious choices for girls, but there are more:
    Ash
    Aspen
    Rowan
    Acacia
    Juniper
    Sequoia
    Leaf
    Linden
    (Apple)

Sylvia, and all related forms mean 'From the Forest'... I prefer the Silvia spelling myself, or the more upbeat Sylvie, but the more dignified Sylvana might appeal to you as well :)

A deeper search gives me these:
Nairne - River with Alder Trees
Nelda - One who lives by the alder tree
    Melora - golden Apple
    Pomona, Pomme, Pomeline - Apple!!
Glade - word name, speaks for itself...
Roscoe - Deer forest, I'd never thought of it for a girl, but here it is ^^
    Alameda - Cottonwood Grove
Grove - speaks for itself again
Lauren (and ALL variants) - Laurel tree
    Daphne - Laurel Tree
    Kayla - Laurel (crown)
    Tamar/Tamara - Date Palm Tree
    Adair - Oak tree Ford
    Alani - Orange Tree
Shaw - Lives by the thicket
Ellery - Island with elder trees
Lindsay - Island of linden trees
    Ivara/Yvonne - Yew
Keith - Wood, Nameberry seems to think it fit for a girl!
    Oakley - Oak wood
    Sawyer - Woodworker

And that's all I have for now!
Lt me know what you think! ^^
