    Dinah?

    How do you pronounce this? Die-na? Is is kinda like Diana? juat without the first a sound? Or is it like Dee-na?

    I've always heard and pronounced "Dinah" as Dye-na, with a long I sound.

    I've always heard DYE-na. Like the 'i' in Diana Lilah or Jemima.

    It's a sweet, if musty, Victorian darling name.

    This is also the way it is said for Alice's cat as any Alice In Wonderland fans can vouch ;)
