Re: Need suggestions - biblical or old man names

Thank you for all the suggestions!

I like Asher, though it's the last name of family friends so it might be a little strange for my side of the family. I like Jonah and Ezra, but my husband doesn't.

How do you get sold on a name if you're just not feeling it right now?

This is the time to think of all kinds of names and see if one grabs you. Try giving a name to something you refer to all the time - like your cell phone. Call your cell phone that name for a couple of days and see how you like the name. Or you could say the name you're trying out a bunch of times in a row. Or you could write it over and over - say twenty times. Once your baby is born and you name him, you will find that you refer to him, say his name to him, and write his name every day.
So what's a name that I think a person would never get tired of in their whole lifetime?

    Andrew nn Drew
    Benjamin nn Ben
    Callum
    Calvin
Daniel - very, very popular, but a great name
Ethan - but it's very, very popular
    Finnian nn Finn
Gavin - if you love two syllable names that end in "n"
Henry - but it's very popular
    James
John nn Jack - also very popular
    Leo
    Miles
    Nathaniel nn Nathan
    Owen
    Peter
    Reed
    Simon
    Thomas
    William nn Will

    How about Kate and Ari?
Mom of one daughter, age 2, and name-enthusiast

I love my list except for Gavin. I have decided against it. But I would love it on someone else's son.

What about Marc (Marcus) with Kate? Or Seth?
