    Arthur nn ....

Archie? I have noticed that many people like the name Archie but don't care for Archibald or Archer. Do you think Archie could be a nn for Arthur? Just a thought! :)

I haven't heard of Archie being a nn for Arthur before. I'm not to sure it would work. I like both Archie and Arthur though. I think Archer really isn't that far off from Arthur as far as sound goes and would suggest just using it to get the nn Archie. I'm drawing a blank for other names that could also achieve this nn.

There are a lot of nn's for boys that don't follow the norm IMO...

    William... Bill
    James... Jim
    Robert... Bob
    John... Jack
    Henry... Harry

I guess I just don't see why not! But I can also see how someone would be apposed to using it.

I love Arthur, and think the Artie nickname is darling. I've never heard Archie for Arthur before, but it's really close to Artie, so I don't see why you couldn't use it.

    I hope you're doing well, Elizabeth! :-)

    Good luck!
