    Cute Nicknames

I'm due with a girl in a few weeks and have been looking at a lot of names. I figure most people will give her a nickname for any name over one syllable, so I thought I'd find cute "nicknames" and work backwards into longer names. But I need some help.

What could Grey/Gray be a nickname for? I assume Gracyn/Grayson/Grace but those are really sickeningly popular.

    Pen for Penelope? Thoughts?

    Ellis for Elizabeth? Other options?

I tend to like the girly names but the more unisex/neutral nicknames. Any other suggestions for some cute nickname options?

What could Grey/Gray be a nickname for? Graciela (Graziella, Graciella) could go by Gray. I also think Gretchen or Greta could go by Grey if you wanted

Pen for Penelope? Thoughts? I really like Nell for Penelope.

Ellis for Elizabeth? Other options? Ellis is cute. As is Elle and Libby, in my opinion.

    Josephine: Josy or Joey
    Samantha: Sam or Sammy
    Francesca: Frankie
    Wilhelmina: Willa or Billy
    Danielle/ Daniella: Danny
Jaqueline: Jack (I once knew a girl who went by Jack, and I thought it was so cute)
    Regina: Reggie

    Re: Cute Nicknames

I have always loved the nickname Dot, but I just can't like Dorothy... I've half-heartedly tried to find an alternate route to Dot, but I haven't had any luck yet ^^ (Nameberry once suggested Dorit, but she has limited appeal as well...)

I also like it when I find new ways to old nicknames, like Hadrian/Adrian for Ian, Reuben for Ben, Icarus for Ike, Elvira for Ellie, Annora for Ann or Nora and Isolde for Izzie etc etc etc...

As for the ones you mentioned, I have Gray/Grey as a name in it's own right ^^
Pen for Penelope is nice, but I kinda love the old lady style of Nell or Poppy...
Ellis for Elizabeth is new! But she is the most nicknamed name there is, so Ellis would be refreshing!
