My grandma's name was Nina and she had a aunt named Asne the A would have a dot above it and it is pronounced Osna wich I also thought was cool.

Ahhhh! I am so outlandishly excited about seeing Emerenze on this list that I don't even care that this thread is over a year old...sorry! My friend is named Emerencz and basically if you google that name she is the only person that shows up in the whole world...I always wondered where it came from! It's super strange but at the same time it's beautiful. Do you happen to know anything about its origins?!
