Re: Rate these names for girls

    1. Hate and/or would never use
    2. Dislike and/or would most likely not use
    3. Neither dislike or like -feel neutral about or like on another person's child but wouldn't use myself
    4. Like and /or might use myself
    5. Really love and/or would probably use myself

    The names:

Adelaine-2. Just stick with Adelaide. Otherwise, it sounds really made up.
Amalee-2. I like the original spelling of Amelie. This spelling is too kreeatifv for me.
Amethyst-3. I think the jewel names trend is a pretty safe one to follow. I, myself, would choose Ruby from this catergory; I think it looks extremely sophisticated.
Amity-2. Personal aquaintance, so I'm a little biased. Perhaps you might like Honoura "Nora" better, or Mercy?
Braelynn-1. I have a rule for myself against almost every "-lynn" name. This is no exception. Have you consider Bay, maybe? I think it's much better than Bray, which makes donkeys come to mind.
Caroline-4 1/2. Ooh! Very pretty. Love the nn Calla for this. This name definitely gets extra cred!
Clemence nn Cleo-3 3/4. This name is very cute. My tastes lie more with Clementine nn Clemmie, but this is another good one.
Divinity-1 1/2. See Amity (except I've never known a Divinity).
Epiphany nn Ephie-2 1/3. Not this worst, but I'd beware of using it.
Esmae-2. As Esme (with that little dash above the second E) it would be atleast a solid 3. But unless the name is simply just Mae, please don't put a "-mae" in it.
Effie-3. I'd rather this be a nn for something. Like, Efima.
Enid-2. Much too boring for me. Consider Edith.
Enya-2 1/3. Not great but not "hide-your-face" awful.
Eulalie nn Lalie-4 1/3. Great one! I SO want this to be brought back! Maybe Eulalie Caroline (or better yet, Carolina, pronounced like the state, not as Leena).
Emmeline nn Emme-5. Gorgeous name!! Please choose this one, not Braelynn!!!
Hazel-4 1/2. And I thought we had nothing in common with names. Love it! Emmeline (I personally prefer EmmeLEEN vs. EmmeLINE or EmmeLYNN) Hazel would be another great combo.
Idelle-3. How about you mix your Adelaine and Idelle to=Adella!
Jubilee-1. No means for a celebration (pun intended).
    Laura-1. Boooor-ing!
Laurel nn Laura-3. This is a better alternative; ust don't use the nn! For a different nn, think about Rella or Aura.
Lillyanna-2. With the spelling as Liliana (nn Lila), I'd move this up to atleast 3 or 4. It's getting to close to Braelynn!!!
Maeve-4 1/4. Beautiful. I love it. Maeve Liliana would be great. Could Maeve be a nn to Mabel? That would be too cool. Maeva is also catchy.
Maevis-1 1/4. Still an old granny.
    Myrtice-1. Really? Try Myrtle.
Maegan-1. Ahhhh!!!!! Braelynn in M form!!!!
Miranda-1 1/3. If only I haven't heard of a million Miranda's. I love that it's Shakespeare, but try Perdita, Beatrice, Hero, Cordelia, Cressida, Hermia, Juliet, Lucetta, Nerissa, Ophelia, Rosaline, or Viola. This also works for anyone in love with the name Olivia.
Naoma-1. Naomi is a step up, and Noemi is pretty.
    Oakley-3. Possibly. Not sure.
Paloma-3. I like the meaning. I know an Angela Paloma that goes by Palo.
Peridot-2. Not so crazy about it.
Rose-2 1/2. How about as a nn for Rosaline or Rosalba?
Roisin (pronounced Ro-sheen)-3/ (Continued from sentence above) ...or this?
Reverie-1 2/3. I prefer the surname alternative: Revere. And who's a better namesake than the guy who is notorious for yelling, "The British are coming! The British are coming!"
    Remember-3. A cool, Puritan-esque name.
Tacey-1 1/2. I don't know if I'm accurate, but this seems pretty 80's to me. No.
Tansy-4 1/2. Cute!! Love as a nn for Anastasia (with either a sister Antoinette "Netta" or Jospehine "Posey").
Victory-2. You know those Uncool-Cooler-Coolest lists? Victoria would be Uncool, Victory would be Cooler, and Victoire or Vittoria would be coolest.
Willow-2. I'm like Willa for Wilhelmina better. Or Winter nn Winnie, for a semi-hippie sound.
Wisdom-1 1/4. A heavy weight to bear, ya think? For word names, I prefer Fable or Story.

I'm sorry I don't have time to rate each name, but I LOVE Oakley and Victory. I wanted to name our girl Victory, but my husband wasn't having it!!!
