I didn't notice it, but I know once other kids learn that word they will make the connection. It's too bad, Aeneas is a cool name, just maybe not in an English speaking country. How about these since they are similar:
    Amias
    Atlas
    Artemas
    Aurelius
    Amadeus
    Atticus
    Antonius
    Augustus
    Claudius
    Cornelius
    Magnus
    Maximus
    Octavius
    Quintus
    Tiberius
    Titus

@ fluffamun- Speaking of iffy names, you may not have noticed but since we're on the subject of biological names, I saw on your signature that you have Hyman at the top of your boys list. You may want to reconsider that one as well. Just thought I should let you know in case you hadn't noticed.

I'd like to second Ananias! I've loved it ever since I saw some terrible movie with Ananias Dare, the father of the first child born to English parents in North America, as a character. It sounds quite similar to Aeneas, but I think it manages to avoid Aeneas' unfortunate connotations.

I hate shooting down names because of teasing potential because I think that those sorts of things tend to get overstated and kids will tease each other over anything, but at the same time Aeneas just seems as if it might make it too easy.

Phineas, Innes, and Ames might be other options.
