Yeah, I think April feels pretty dated. I think it's pretty, though. :-) I think Averil sounds fresher, but I think of of the singer somewhat.

I was thinking just the other day how pretty April really is. It must be the most tired of all the month names, though, and it does sound somewhat dated. Still, April Jane is way cute.

Have you thought about Avril or Averill?

I love April. It reminds me of the spunky reporter from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
I like it better than back-in-style June which reminds me of the mom from Leave It To Beaver. She was a little dumb.

April is my name, and although I do think it is a pretty name, I hate it. If I had a nickel for every time I've heard "April showers bring May flowers", or had someone ask me if my name is April because that's when I was born (unfortunately it is) or asked if my middle name was May...well I'd be a rich woman.

I considered April for myself, but nixed it because I kept hearing comments on it being dated/tired etc.

When I test ran it, I always got compliments on it though, so maybe having some younger April's around would help refreshen it.

April Charlotte Noel was a combo of mine for a while.
